My second reading of amazing book "O Jerusalem !" by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Colins overlapped with my second visit to Jerusalem. I read it couple of years ago, but after my last two visits to this eternal city, the reading of it is an entirely different experience...
I will write more when I finish it.

ReplyDeleteBTW, the place on the photo (called also Nebi Samuel) was very important strategic point during Arab-Israeli Wars, both in 1948 and in 1967. I did not know these facts when I was there. Thanks to the book, I now know.
Another place of such importance near Jerusalem is Latrun - the old Trapist monastery on the road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Well, more soon - I should finish the book this week :-)
