Johann Jakob Balmer

We (physicists) have special place in our minds for Johann Balmer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Jakob_Balmer). 

I just read a very funny sentence: 

"Balmer, incidentally, wrote only three physics papers in his life. The first two made him immortal; the third was wrong."
